SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) is an internal product identification code created by the business itself. It's used to organize inventory, make products easier to locate, and track variations (color, size, model).
No. A SKU is an internal code defined by the seller. A barcode (EAN/UPC) is a universal standard registered with GS1. A product can have both: the SKU for internal management and the EAN/UPC for identification in the market.
